What We Provide
Chances ADP is a behavior management adult day program (Service Code 532) that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a community-based, without-walls model. Participants receive individualized support to build skills, manage behaviors, and participate fully in community life.
Behavior Support
Implementation of individualized behavior support plans with positive, proactive strategies that promote self-regulation, safety, and dignity.
Community Outings
Daily activities in real community settings so skills are practiced where they will actually be used—stores, parks, libraries, cafes, and local venues.
Activities of Daily Living
Support with personal care, meals, and other ADLs while promoting maximum independence and choice.
Skill Building
Communication, social skills, problem-solving, time management, and practical community skills tailored to each person.
Pre-Employment Skills
Opportunities to develop workplace readiness through volunteering, structured activities, and community-based experiences.
Door-to-Door Transportation
Reliable transportation to and from the program and community activities so participants can fully take part.
1:2 & 1:3 Staffing
Consistent staff presence that allows for relationship-building, safety, and truly individualized support throughout the day.
A Typical Day
Days are structured around the individual goals and interests of participants while remaining flexible. Common elements include:
- Morning check-in and goal review
- Community outings (shopping, recreation, volunteering, cultural activities)
- Skill practice in natural settings
- Meals and personal care support as needed
- Social interaction and relationship building
- Documentation of progress and support provided
Program hours are typically Monday–Friday during daytime hours. Exact schedules are coordinated based on participant needs and regional center authorizations.
Person-Centered Approach
Every participant has a voice in their goals and daily activities. We focus on strengths, interests, and what matters most to the individual. Support plans are living documents that adapt as people grow and preferences change.
Who Benefits
Adults with IDD who need structured support for community participation, behavior management, skill development, or social engagement. We work closely with regional centers, families, and service coordinators to ensure the right fit.
